Tony Warriner
design and programming
Tony began working on games in the mid-eighties, during the fast moving and innovative 8-bit era, working primarily on Sinclair Spectrum and Amstrad CPC games for publishers such as Artic Computing and Codemasters. Later, as the nineties dawned, he teamed up once again with Charles Cecil and co-founded Revolution Software. This new studio was responsible for many highly regarded adventure games, such as Beneath A Steel Sky and Broken Sword. Now, with Brazen Gameplay, he returns to his roots with the Spectrum Next computer and its beloved Z80 processor!
Stoo Cambridge
design and art
Stoo is an accomplished artist and illustrator based in Essex, England. He is probably best known for his work at Sensible Software, notably Sensible World of Soccer, Cannon Fodder and Sensible Golf. With a career spanning over 35 years his association with the design and development of video games has covered many systems and publishing platforms. With humble beginnings in the late 80s coding on the Commodore Vic20 and later C64 he gained experience of hitting the hardware with assembly language and plotting graphics by numbers, hex ones usually! But it was his introduction to the Commodore Amiga that lead him to become a full time artist and chisel out a career in games which today has lead him back to his roots and the development of UrbX Warriors.
We Are Brazen Gameplay
Brazen Gameplay is the collaboration project masterminded by game industry stalwarts Tony Warriner and Stoo Cambridge. Frustrated by the increasingly underhand monetisation techniques now so prevalent in the corporate games industry, we decided to go back to basics – and our roots – and create an original game based purely around good, honest gameplay. We’ve developed UrbX Warriors entirely by ourselves, and for ourselves. It’s the type of game that we want to play – easy to pickup, yet challenging and always maximum fun!
